Winter of 2007-2008 February 17, 2008
Posted by Jackie Sampson in : All Posts , trackbackThis is a great picture of Dave’s kids, Cormac and Josie, atop a pile of snow in their yard in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. Any challengers out there who can top this claim to an especially snowy winter?

If you look closely, that is their mailbox sticking out by Cormac’s head. In the background is their garage door. Luckily Dave does have a snow blower, but even so……that took some doing to clear the drive.
Hi all, here’s the little bit of snow we enjoyed in Fishers, Indiana – we did get a few snows but nothing substantial. (It was “high quality” snow!)

Our winters here in southern Indiana aren’t nearly as severe as they are in Wisconsin, and we very seldom get more snow than Marty does in Indianapolis. This winter, however, we have had some very cold temperatures and way too much wind. You can see in this picture how the wind has blown the snow into a pretend drift along the side of a creek that runs through our golf course. Reflected in the water, it looks like still more snow. (Mike’s learning what his new camera can do!)
