These poor Dallas kids grow to be 15 years old before they have snow enough to attempt a snowman…and then they just get a dirty snowball! This is a picture of my stepson Nick in his first attempt at snowman building. We had the only two snowfalls of the season in the same week about 10 days ago and each melted away before daybreak. No snow days for Nick. Curiously, we got our first rose blooming in the garden four days after this picture was taken!

I envy you blooming roses. Snow is fun for the first month or so and then it gets very, very old!
